FILMMAKER

Mohammed Al Hosani started his career as a producer in 2014 with an ambitious project to document the history of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and the involvement of the Abu Dhabi royal family in growing and promoting the sport. As a result of the research and materials collected during the project, Al Hosani has released multiple short features that have gained significant media interest. The first of which were biographies of “Renzo Gracie” and “Jeff Monson”, under the “Reflections” series aimed at providing the audience with unique and insightful interviews and stories of some of the greatest legends of submission fighting. In 2015, Al Hosani released a short film on “Mark Kerr” - one of the pioneers of UFC – which received a full feature in Sports Illustrated. His most recent short, “Bella” – a story about a blind girl overcoming adversity with the help of jiu-jitsu – has also been covered extensively in the press.
